Emirates Melbourne Cup
Emirates is title sponsor of the Emirates Melbourne Cup until 2015. Billed as "The Race That Stops a Nation," the Emirates Melbourne Cup is generally regarded as the most prestigious two-mile handicap in the world, with a prize purse of over AUD6,000,000. Three-year-olds and over compete, covering a distance of 3,200 meters. The event, held on the first Tuesday of November at the Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, is attended by approximately 100,000 visitors each year.

The Emirates Singapore Derby, one of the most watched races in the region with a prize pool of $1.15 million, is held annually in mid-July at the Singapore Racecourse.
