The Boeing Classic, which is an Official Event on the PGA TOUR Champions Tour, features legends of golf 50 years or older and is played annually at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge in Snoqualmie, Washington.
Emirates’ sponsorship of the Boeing Classic added the first US-based event to its impressive portfolio of golf sponsorships, which spans the globe. As the event's official sponsor, Emirates has a presence at the event through course branding, tournament hospitality, advertising, and on-site activity, including an exhibition area and an Emirates Youth Clinic.
The 2013 Boeing Classic was won by John Riegger in only his fifth Champions Tour start.
Emirates’ relationship with the Boeing Classic provides a valuable platform to raise awareness and engage with existing and potential US customers following the launch of the airline’s nonstop service between Seattle and Dubai in March 2012. The sponsorship deal also demonstrates Emirates’ commitment to Boeing as the company's largest 777 customer and recipient of Boeing’s 1,000th 777 aircraft. Emirates currently flies to eight US gateways: Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington, DC and Boston.
Emirates also sponsors the BMW International Open, the DP World Tour Championship, Alstom Open de France, Maybank Malaysian Open, the Irish Open, Lyoness Open, Ballantine’s Championship, the WGC-HSBC Champions, the Hong Kong Open, the Thailand Open, the Emirates Australian Open, and the Australian PGA Championship.
