Emirates became a principal sponsor of the Alstom Open de France in 2010, signing a three-year deal with the French Golf Federation to become the official airline of the event.
Hosted by Le Golf National Club just outside Paris, the Alstom Open de France is one of golf’s oldest events, with the inaugural event held in 1906, and has firmly established itself as one of the premier events of the European golfing calendar. This famous tournament can also boast a prize fund of EUR 3 million, which ensures a high-quality field.
The 2012 Alstom Open de France welcomed over 40,000 spectators, enabling Emirates to engage with existing and potential customers in the ever-important French market. German Marcel Siem held off a stunning final round charge from Francesco Molinari to finish one clear on eight under and claim his second European Tour title.
In addition to the Alston Open De France, Emirates is a proud supporter of a number of other golf events around the world, including The Ryder Cup, UBS Hong Kong Open, Dubai World Championship, BMW International Open 2012, Japan Open, WGC-HSBC Champions, Emirates Australian Open Championship, Australian PGA Championship, Austrian Golf Open, Avantha Masters, Ballantine’s Championship, Barclays Singapore Open, Maybank Malaysian Open, Irish Open, and Thailand Open.
