Airport newsA major terminal expansion is currently under construction, and is on schedule for full completion by 2017. New facilities will include departures and arrivals areas, plus a new pier enabling the airport to accommodate additional aircraft.
Driving directionsFrom central Oslo, follow the E6 trunk road (which runs through the city to Trondheim and the far north of Norway) north until Jessheim, where there is a dedicated exit and road. The airport is clearly signposted all the way from the city centre.
Car rentalCar hire companies at Oslo Airport include: Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt. These operators each have offices in the arrivals hall, close to the railway station entrance. Hire car return is within the multistorey car park.
Public transport and taxisBus: The SAS Airport Bus (Flybussen) (tel: 2280 4971; www.flybussen.no) links Oslo Airport and Oslo Central Station (journey time: 45 minutes; fare: Kr125). There is also a night service to Oslo Bus Terminal.
Coach: Regular coach services connect Oslo Airport with various destinations in Norway. For regional bus routes, there is a bus station just south of the railway station, which is within walking distance.
Taxi: A taxi information desk can be found in the arrivals hall, and the taxi rank is located outside Arrivals. The fare into central Oslo starts at around Kr750. Wheelchair-accessible taxis can be arranged through Oslo Taxis (tel: 2323 2323).
Rail: The Airport Express Train (Flytoget) (tel: 815 00777; www.flytoget.no), connects Oslo Airport to Oslo (journey time: 20 minutes; fare: Kr170 - tickets not purchased online in advance are subject to an additional NOK30 service fee), stopping at Oslo Central and various subway stations, and continuing on to Drammen. Trains depart from the station beneath the terminal building. All NSB (tel: 815 00888; www.nsb.no) inter-city and express trains on the Skien-Oslo-Lillehammer-Trondheim route also stop at Oslo Airport Gardermoen station. Trains run every 10 minutes during the week, and every 20 minutes on Saturdays.
Car parkingThere is a multistorey car park (P10) with direct access to the terminal and an outdoor car park (P1) immediately adjacent to the terminal. The long-term outdoor ground level car park is divided into five areas (P2, P3, P4, P5 and P6), with free shuttle buses running regularly to/from the terminal building. Parking information is available from Europark Gardermoen (tel: 6481 1980).
Information and help desksThere is a staffed information desk (tel: 06400) in the arrivals hall, offering hotel reservation and tourist information services.
Airport FacilitiesMoney: DNB offers banking and currency exchange facilities in Arrivals and Departures. There are numerous ATMs located throughout Oslo Airport.
Communications: Free wireless internet access (for up to two hours) is available throughout the terminal and internet kiosks are available at selected departure gates. Payphones are located at various points, while wireless phone charging points are also available within the terminal. Fax and photocopying services are provided at the information desk in the arrivals hall.
Food: Various restaurants, cafés, snack bars, fast-food outlets and bars are located within Oslo Airport. The widest choice is in the domestic and international departure lounges, with options ranging from seafood bars and sushi outlets to pizza places. The public arrivals area offers a small selection of cafés.
Shopping: Duty-free shopping is available for all international passengers in the international arrival and departure halls. Various other shops are located throughout Oslo Airport, including a shop selling Norwegian smoked salmon amongst other local delicacies. VAT reclaim is available for non-Nordic passengers.
Luggage: There is a left-luggage and lost property office (tel: 6481 3477) opposite the railway station in the arrivals area. A porter service is also available from this office.
Other facilities: A travel agency in the departures hall (before security) can organise tour bookings.
Conference and business facilitiesThe Radisson Blu Airport Hotel Oslo (tel: 6393 3000; www.radissonblu.com) has a conference centre with a range of services, including: internet access, meeting rooms, video conferencing, secretarial services and catering. Meeting facilities are also available at the Park Inn by Radisson Oslo Airport hotel (tel: 6702 4000; www.parkinn.com). Both hotels are linked to the terminal building via covered walkways.
Disabled facilitiesThe terminal is adapted for passengers with disabilities, who are requested to contact Passenger Services (tel: 6482 1900) at least 24 hours in advance. Wheelchair-accessible taxis can be arranged through Oslo Taxis (tel: 2323 2323) or at the taxi information desk in Arrivals. Parking for disabled passengers is available.
Airport hotelsThere are two hotels at Oslo Airport: the Radisson Blu Airport hotel and the Park Inn by Radisson Oslo Airport hotel, which are connected to the terminal via walkways. Several other hotels can be found in the surrounding Gardermoen area, some of which are served by shuttle buses that depart at least twice an hour from the terminal – hotel reservations can be made at the information desk in Arrivals. Radisson Blu Airport Hotel Oslo
A good choice for both business and leisure visitors, the 500-room Radisson Blu Airport Hotel Oslo is directly connected to the terminal building at Oslo Airport and provides the most luxurious accommodation in the area. The hotel has a choice of restaurants and bars, a fitness centre and 31 meeting rooms accommodating up to 1,000.

Boasting meeting rooms and a fitness centre, the 300-room Park Inn is easily reached from the terminal via a walkway. Peckish guests can make use of the on-site bar and grill restaurant, while the terminal's eateries provide additional options.

Gardermoen Airport Hotel
More economical than the on-site options, this property is a five-minute drive from Oslo Airport. Conference rooms, a gym and free Wi-Fi are available, and the hotel boasts a restaurant and bar. Transport to and from the terminal is provided at regular intervals by the airport shuttle service.
