Emirates is sponsoring Sussex County Cricket Club during 2008, the airline's second successive season with the club.
Hugely successful in recent years, Sussex have dominated the English county league winning three county championships in the last five years. This season they are competing for the much-sought-after hat-trick of titles.
In addition to supporting the pre-season tour to the UAE for the inaugural ARCH trophy, Emirates is the team’s official Twenty20 Cup partner, sponsoring the Sussex Sharks. The popular temporary North Stand, at the club’s ground in Hove in Sussex, is also sponsored by Emirates and is now known as the Emirates North Stand.
