7 May 2014

DUBAI, U.A.E., 7th May 2014: Emirates, a global connector of people and places, has renewed its support for the Seychelles by extending a Memorandum of Understanding which unites the two companies in jointly promoting the destination throughout the airline’s network.

The MOU agreement was signed by Orhan Abbas, Emirates' Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Latin America, Central and Southern Africa and Rosemary Hoareau, Director of Marketing, Seychelles Tourism Board, at the Arabian Travel Market which is being held in Dubai this week.

Under the agreement, Emirates has committed to working towards increasing the visibility of the destination with its agents, customers and media and to work with the Seychelles Tourism Board to support its promotional events and campaigns.

“Once more, we affirm our loyal support for the Seychelles and its tourism industry. Our partnership so far with the archipelago has been fruitful to both parties. Our hard work, hand in hand with the Ministry of Tourism and the Seychelles Tourism Board, has been mutually beneficial. We will continue to jointly explore new opportunities with an aligned vision and I remain confident that further positive results will be achieved in the coming years and months,” said Orhan Abbas at the signing event.

“I would like to state that first and foremost, we are very pleased and feel privileged to have the continuous support of Emirates in the marketing of Seychelles. ‎We hope that this relationship for the coming year will be strengthened and together we can achieve even more”, said Rosemary Hoareau.

Emirates started operations to the Seychelles in 2005. Since then traffic has increased and Emirates now offers convenient flights, award-winning product and service and the opportunity for travellers to visit Dubai and connect beyond to Europe, India and Africa.
