Watch birds at Salt Lake

With more than 80 species of migratory birds, including around 10,000 flamingos, Salt Lake is a sight to behold even for the most reluctant of birdwatchers. In the summer months the lake dries, revealing a thick crust of salt. In the old days the salt used to be mined, but the lake is now mainly a tourist site.

Dive at the Zenobia wreck

Many people consider this to be one of the best wreck diving sites in the Mediterranean. The Zenobia was on its maiden voyage to Syria in 1980, but the doomed vessel sank off Larnaca Harbour. If you don't dive, you can also see it from a glass-bottomed boat. Try the Scuba Tech Diving Centre.
