Can I earn Skywards Miles on Qantas-operated flights?

You can earn Skywards Miles for flights operated by Qantas as indicated below:

a. On flights with an EK flight number you will earn Miles as per the current Emirates Skywards programme levels for travel on Emirates. This will include any add-ons for domestic flights which are part of a continuous international journey.

b. On flights with a QF flight number you will earn Miles at a different rate, based upon distance travelled. See more details on the Qantas partner page.

Can I earn Tier Miles on flights operated by Qantas?

You will earn Tier Miles on Qantas-operated flights with an EK flight number. Tier Miles will not be available on any flights with a QF flight number.

Can I redeem Miles on Qantas-operated flights?

Yes, you can redeem your Skywards Miles for flights operated by Qantas (QF flight number). You can book your reward ticket online with Emirates. If you are unable to access our online booking service, please call your nearest Emirates Contact Centre. If you wish to redeem Qantas Frequent Flyer points to purchase your flight, please make your booking via Qantas.com.

Can I upgrade with Skywards Miles on Qantas-operated flights?

Unfortunately this option does not apply to Qantas flights.

When I use Skywards Miles to buy a reward ticket, will I have to pay any extra charges?

If you purchase a reward ticket with Skywards Miles, carrier-imposed charges and airport and/or government taxes are not included in the fare. Payment can be made online when you book your reward ticket. Please note charges may differ between Emirates and Qantas.

Can I earn Miles on domestic travel within Australia?

You can earn Miles on a domestic Qantas flight when it is booked as part of a continuous international journey with Emirates or Qantas. Miles cannot be earned solely on domestic sectors, such as Gold Coast-Cairns.

If you have bought a Skywards Saver or Flex ticket that includes domestic travel within Australia on Qantas, you will earn the following Skywards Miles and Tier Miles in addition to those earned for the international sectors. This is applicable to any route on the Qantas domestic network. Please note that we do not offer First Class on Qantas domestic routes.

Tier Miles can only be earned on Emirates-marketed (EK code) sectors.

As an Emirates Skywards Gold member, what benefits will I receive when I fly Qantas?

Emirates Skywards Gold members travelling on Qantas-operated flights will have access to:

• Business Class check-in
• 16kg additional baggage allowance
• Qantas International Business Class Lounges and Qantas Club Domestic Lounges
• Priority boarding
• Priority baggage delivery

As an Emirates Skywards Silver member, what benefits will I receive when I fly Qantas?

Emirates Skywards Silver members travelling on Qantas-operated flights will have access to:

• Premium Economy Class check-in (where available)
• 12kg additional baggage allowance

As an Emirates Skywards member travelling on the Qantas domestic network, will I have access to Qantas domestic lounges in Australia?

Emirates Skywards Gold members will have access to Qantas Club Domestic Lounges in Australia. Emirates Skywards Platinum members will have access to Qantas Domestic Business Lounges (where available) and Qantas Club Domestic Lounges in Australia.

If I choose to fly with Qantas from Dubai to Australia, can I still use the Emirates lounges in Dubai?

You can use the Emirates lounges in Dubai when flying with Qantas if you:

• are travelling in First Class or Business Class, or
• are an Emirates Skywards Platinum, Gold or Silver member, or
• are a Qantas Platinum One, Platinum or Gold Frequent Flyer member.

If I am eligible for lounge access and departing from an airport with both an Emirates lounge and a Qantas lounge, can I choose either lounge?

We recommend that you use the lounge of the operating airline to ensure convenient gate proximity and access to boarding calls and other flight information.

Can I use the Miles Calculator to work out how many Miles I can earn on domestic flights?

No. This function is currently not available on the Miles Calculator but it is being developed to manage this change.

As an Emirates Skywards member, will I receive a priority boarding call on Qantas-operated flights?

There will be priority boarding calls for Emirates Skywards Platinum and Gold members.

Will I need a separate membership number to use on Qantas-operated flights?

No. When you book a Qantas-operated flight, enter your current Emirates Skywards membership number and any eligible Miles will be automatic added to your account.

If I am already a Qantas Frequent Flyer, can I earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points in addition to my Skywards Miles?

No. You can only earn either Skywards Miles or Qantas Frequent Flyer points per flight.

Emirates currently offers a Chauffeur-drive service to its First Class and Business Class passengers in many parts of the world. If I fly with Qantas in First Class or Business Class on an Emirates codeshare or a redemption ticket, will I still get this service?

Chauffeur-drive will be available to Emirates customers flying on Qantas as part of an Emirates codeshare in the following locations: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, Dubai and London. Chauffeur-drive will not be available for any flights operated by Qantas between Asia and Australia.
