Airport newsA further satellite extension to Terminal 2E is due to open in late 2012, which will allow the transfer of all SkyTeam alliance flights to terminals 2E, 2F and 2G.
Transfer between terminalsTerminals 1, 2 and 3 are linked by the CDGVAL airport métro line. Shuttles operate to the more distant Terminal 2G.
Driving directionsFrom Paris, take the A1 via Porte de la Chapelle. Alternatively, take the A3 via Porte de Bagnolet, join the A1, and follow signposts for the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Car rentalCar hire companies at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport include: Avis, Europcar, Hertz, National, Sixt and TT Car Transit, which have offices in terminals 1 and 2. Europcar has a further desk in Terminal 3.
Public transport and taxisBus: Local buses 350 and 351 connect central Paris to the airport. Roissybus (www.ratp.fr) serves all three terminals and runs to Place de l'Opéra for the Paris métro (journey time: 45-60 minutes; fare: EUR 10). The Noctilien night service has three routes linking the airport with various destinations in Paris between 4:30 am and 01:30 am.
Shuttle: The Val d'Europe Airports shuttle (VEA) operates services between Paris hotels, Disneyland and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (fare: EUR 18).
Coach: Air France coaches (tel: 0892 350 820; www.lescarsairfrance.com) depart from terminals 1 and 2 to Porte Maillot and Arc de Triomphe to Montparnasse and Gare de Lyon. They also provide connections to Paris-Orly Airport, from terminals 1 and 2.
Taxi: a taxi to the city centre will take around 45 minutes. Taxi companies include Alpha Taxis (tel: 01 4585 8585), Les Taxis Bleus (tel: 0891 701 010), Taxis G7 (tel: 01 4739 4739), Taxis (tel: 01 4270 0042) and G7 Horizon (tel: 01 4739 0091). The average fare to central Paris is around EUR 50.
Rail: RER trains (www.ratp.fr) serve the airport in conjunction with ADP shuttles. Line B runs from Terminal 1 and from the TGV station at Terminal 2 to Gare du Nord, Châtelet-les-Halles, St Michel, Luxembourg, Port Royal and Denfert-Rochereau, with connections to the métro. The journey time to Gare du Nord is about 25 minutes, and the fare is EUR 9.10. TGV (tel: 3635; www.tgv-europe.com) and Thalys (tel: 08 9235 3536; www.thalys.com ) trains also run to various destinations in Paris and beyond. There is a SNCF desk on the fourth floor of Terminal 2 for public transport enquiries.
Car parkingEach terminal has its own short-term covered car park with direct access to the terminal by lift. The long-term car park PR is for Terminal 1, and car park PX is for Terminals 2 and 3; all are linked by a free airport shuttle bus.
Information and help desksThere are several information desks throughout the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. Free guides and maps of Paris and the airport are available on request. There are also tourist information offices in the terminals.
Airport FacilitiesMoney and communications: there are bureaux de change and at least one bank branch and ATM in all three terminals. Post offices can be found in terminals 1 and 2. Wireless internet access is available, as is mobile phone rental.
Eating and drinking: there are plenty of bars and restaurants in all terminals.
Shopping: there is a wide choice of shops in all three terminals.
Luggage: lockers are no longer available due to security concerns. There are lost and found offices in all the terminals. Call (01) 4862 1334 (for terminals 1 and 3) or (01) 4816 6383 (Terminal 2).
Other facilities: prayer rooms are located in all three terminals. Medical services as well as massage therapy and manicure are available in terminals 1 and 2. Play areas can be found in Terminal 2.
Conference and business facilitiesThere are work areas in terminals 1 and 2 where travellers can also recharge their electronic equipment. Conference and meeting facilities are available at the larger hotels close to and in the terminals.
Disabled facilitiesThe Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport has excellent facilities for disabled travellers, who should inform their airline in advance of their needs. Information desks also offer a special welcome service for disabled passengers. Reserved car parking spaces are provided in designated areas and discount on parking is available on presentation of a valid disability badge.
Airport hotelsThere are several hotels at the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport or in close proximity to the terminals, most of which offer courtesy shuttle services.

Sheraton Paris Airport Hotel & Conference Centre
Within Terminal 2, the Sheraton has 250 rooms and suites. As well as meeting facilities, the hotel offers a gymnasium with a sauna and a choice of restaurants and bars.

Novotel Paris CDG Terminal
The 200-room Novotel is located close to Terminal 3 and the TGV rail station at the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. In addition to its restaurant, bar and café; a number of meeting rooms and services including wi-fi access and a video games area are available.

Hilton Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport
Located on site at the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, five minutes from the terminals, the Hilton provides a shuttle bus service to the TGV station at Terminal 2F. Facilities include meeting and conference facilities, a choice of restaurants and bars, a fitness room and a swimming pool.
