As a Global Partner of F1, Emirates will have a major presence at 15 races of the 2013 season across Europe, Asia, Australasia, North America and South America. The distinctive Fly Emirates branding will prominently feature at race events including historic races such as The British Grand Prix at Silverstone, The Italian Grand Prix at Monza and The Brazilian Grand Prix in São Paulo.
As part of the sponsorship agreement, Emirates branding will be displayed on the circuit bridges as well as leading hospitality suites at the 15 races. Emirates will also offer F1 events as part of its holiday packages, whilst on-board, Emirates will host a dedicated F1 channel on its award winning ‘ice’ entertainment system, allowing fans to catch up on races and view behind-the-scenes footage of their favourite drivers and teams.
Like Emirates, Formula One has a truly global reach and in 2013, F1 Grand Prix will be held in 19 countries around the world, With Emirates aiming to bring fans closer to the action through its sponsorship.
On announcing the deal, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group, said: “This is an exciting global opportunity to align two world leading brands.
