What is the security code and where do I find it on my credit card?

The card verification code (CVC) is a three- or four-digit credit card security code. Since this number is not embossed on the card it cannot be printed on receipts. This prevents anyone other than the credit card bearer from using the number.

Visa, Mastercard and Diners Club Cards have a three digit code located on the top right hand side of the signature strip on the back of the card.

Emirates does not store or retain your Card Security Code. It is only used during the process of validating your credit card.

American Express Cards have a four-digit number printed above the account number on the front of the card.
