Can I request a specific seat on a Qantas-operated flight?

Qantas applies a charge to passengers wishing to choose seats on international flights, with the exception of First Class and Business Class passengers, Emirates Skywards and Qantas Frequent Flyer members tiers Silver and above, and all passengers who select a seat in the last 24 hours prior to departure. However, if you wish to choose Exit Row seats, Qantas applies a charge regardless of tier or class of travel. To select and pay for a seat with Qantas, you must call a Qantas Contact Centre.

There is no charge for selecting a seat on domestic Qantas flights – however, seat selection is only possible on certain domestic routes.

For routes where seat selection is not possible, you can select a preference for window or aisle seats.

Passengers travelling with infants on Qantas flights cannot select seats, and will automatically be assigned seating in bassinet rows if possible.
