There is no Miles extension option available. You may, however, top up your account by purchasing additional Miles in order to claim a reward before your Miles expire.
You can use the Plan and Book facility to spend your Skywards Miles on Emirates flight rewards. You can also use your Skywards Miles to easily upgrade any existing Emirates flight booking, including those of friends and family, by going to Manage a Booking, subject to seat availability and applicable upgrade restrictions*.
If you would like to spend your Miles on a reward with our other airline, car hire, hotel and retail partners just fill in the relevant online reward form. When you have submitted the form, your nearest Emirates Contact Centre will get in touch with you to confirm the details. Please allow a maximum of seven working days for the request to be processed, although we will do our best to get back to you within 24 hours.
Saver rewards offer you exceptional value when travelling in lower-demand periods or when you are willing to choose alternative flights to reach your destination.
Flex rewards provide you full flexibility when making your travel plans. They cost more Skywards Miles than Saver rewards but they offer you more seat availability during high demand periods and on high demand flights.
You can book a return ticket using a combination of Saver and Flex reward fares, depending on your travel requirements and what allocated seats are available at the time of booking. If you choose this type of ticket, please remember that Saver reward conditions will apply to the entire ticket.
You can choose to redeem your Miles for a Skywards Flex reward flight. These cost more Miles than a standard Saver reward, but allow for a wider range of travel dates.
A one-way Flex reward fare is available if you wish to take a journey from one flight zone to another. You are allowed one stopover on your journey with a Flex reward ticket but your journey must take place in one continuous direction.
One-way Flex rewards are offered in all classes of travel, but please note that one-way rewards are not available for travel within a single zone.
You can purchase a one-way Flex reward for 50% of the Miles price of a return Flex reward between the same airports.
Our Saver rewards are specially discounted tickets with certain restrictions, such as maximum stay, which means these fares can only be offered on a return basis.
Credit card information is required in order to cover the government taxes and airport charges levied on all ticket purchases, including those purchased with Skywards Miles, whether with Emirates or with a partner airline. Airport taxes are compulsory and are not taken by the airline but are usually charged by governments or airport management companies.
Yes you can. For an Emirates flight reward visit Plan and Book and choose ‘pay with Miles’. For partner flight rewards, please use the online reward form.
To enjoy reward flights with your family, you only need to spend 10% of the Miles value of an adult reward ticket for infants below two years. Please note that infant reward tickets are only eligible for use in Economy Class.
Upgrade rewards with Skywards Miles for infants are permissible from Economy Class to Business Class and Business Class to First Class.
Any member from any tier can use their Skywards Miles to upgrade to either Business or First Class. There are three easy ways to do this:
Emirates Skywards remains one of the few frequent flyer programmes that allows you to upgrade any type of fare and ticket with Emirates, using your Skywards Miles, subject to seat availability and applicable upgrade restrictions*.
As passengers can pay different fares to travel in the same cabin, so the Miles needed for an upgrade reflect the fare that has been purchased. For example, a more expensive Skywards Flex fare requires less Miles to upgrade than a Skywards Saver fare.
Yes. Your nearest Emirates contact centre will be pleased to assist you.
If you upgrade online using the Manage a Booking facility, then all passengers on the booking will automatically be upgraded if you have the available Miles.
If you do not wish the upgrade to apply to all passengers, please call an Emirates Contact Centre to arrange individual upgrades.
In order to upgrade a flight online:
Some countries levy additional taxes or charges when you travel in a higher class. You will be informed of any additional charges when upgrading your booking.
If you are upgrading online, the additional taxes and charges must be paid for by credit card during the upgrade process. If you do not have a credit card, please get in touch with an Emirates Contact Centre to arrange for payment to be made at your local Emirates office or ticket desk.
All the benefits of the class of travel to which you have upgraded. These include extra baggage allowance, lounge access and Chauffeur-drive, where available (Chauffeur-drive service should be requested at least 48 hours before flight departure).
Please note that the fare conditions of your original ticket continue to apply at all times. For example, if there are any fees or charges applicable to your original ticket, these will continue to apply even after upgrading with Miles.
This is not currently possible; you can only upgrade on flights with the EK flight code.

Skywards Flex Reward tickets can be refunded for a fee of US$50. Skywards Saver Reward tickets and Partner Airline reward tickets can be refunded for a fee of US$75. Note that once issued, reward tickets cannot be endorsed for travel on other airlines.
Depending on the type of reward, some can be cancelled without penalty and others are non-refundable once issued. Please refer to the refund procedures below for more details:
Cancellation of a reward ticket:
To cancel an unused Flex reward ticket, a fee of USD 50 will apply. To cancel an unused Saver reward ticket, or a combined Saver/Flex reward ticket, a fee of USD 75 will apply. You must submit your reward ticket within one year of the date of issue to claim a refund. Please note that any expired Miles will not be refunded.
Modifying travel dates:
If you have a Flex reward ticket then no date change fees will apply. If you have a Saver reward ticket, or a combined Saver/Flex reward ticket, then a date change fee of USD 25 will apply. If there are multiple passengers on the booking, the fee of USD 25 will apply for each passenger.
Making other changes:
Any other changes to an unused Flex or Saver reward ticket (including a change of cabin class or a ticket change from Saver to Flex and vice versa), will incur a fee of USD 25. In such cases, your existing reward ticket will be cancelled and your Miles will be credited back to your account (minus any expired Miles). A new ticket will be issued with a new validity period and you will be charged taxes accordingly.
If you have an unused, expired ticket, we will refund any taxes you paid in full without charging a service fee. However, we will not be able to refund your Miles.
To cancel an upgrade reward, please call your nearest Emirates Contact Centre. If you do not use an upgrade reward, we will refund your Miles in full (minus any expired Miles).
Different airlines may have different Terms & Conditions relating to reward tickets. Please check at the time of booking the reward.

Vouchers for Budget, Damas, Danat Dubai, Dubai Autodrome, Magrudy's, Le Meridien (Natural Elements Spa & Health club in Le Meridien Airport Hotel, Dubai), Rivoli, Ski Dubai and Wild Wadi Water Park are not refundable once you have purchased them with your Miles.

It is not possible to combine Miles from two separate accounts; you can, however, transfer Miles between accounts or purchase Miles for yourself or for another member.
This option is not currently available in the programme.
Although your Skywards Miles must be redeemed before they expire, you can use them to book a reward ticket that is valid for up to 12 months. This means that even if you can’t travel before your Miles expire, you can still redeem them now for a future trip.
When you redeem your Miles online for an Emirates Skywards voucher, one of our representatives will be in touch. If you have decided to collect your ticket, they will confirm the pick-up location with you. If you have chosen delivery, then they will confirm the delivery address. Once the address is confirmed, then you can expect your voucher within three working days (for Dubai addresses only).
