Melbourne Cup Carnival
Emirates is the main sponsor of Australia’s premier horse race, now named the Emirates Melbourne Cup, in a seven-year partnership deal with the Victoria Racing Club (VRC). The contract runs until 2010.
Australian Jockey Club’s Autumn and Spring Carnival
Emirates is the exclusive Official Airline Partner for the Australian Jockey Club until 2010. The sponsorship contract, which spans five years, involves major races in both the Autumn and Spring carnivals. The key race meets supported by Emirates during Autumn Carnival include naming rights of the Emirates AJC Australian Oaks, a Group One race held over 2,400 metres, and the Emirates Plate.
