2013 marks the fourth consecutive year of Emirates’ sponsorship of the three Japan Open Golf tournaments, the national golf tournaments for each respective group (Men’s, Women’s and Senior’s).

As the tour’s designated “Premier Event,” the 2012 Japan Men’s Open Championship, held at Okinawa, was one of the richest events on the tour with a prize fund of ¥200 million. Japan’s very own Kenichi Kuboya won the event for the first time with a one shot victory over Filipino Juvic Pagunsan.

The 2012 Japan Women’s Open Championship and Japan Senior Championships saw victories for China’s Shanshan Feng and the Philippines’ Frankie Miñoza respectively.

At all Japan Open Golf tournaments, Emirates, in its capacity as Official Airline of the series, has a significant presence.

Invited guests can enjoy hospitality with great views of the 18th greens in the Emirates hospitality marquee and selected Emirates VIP guests have opportunity to play with the pros in Pro-Am tournaments. Promotional booths have also been used at previous events enabling spectators to interact with Emirates cabin crew who are on hand to meet and greet existing and potential Emirates customers.

Emirates also enjoy a large presence around each Japan Open Golf courses with branding on scoreboards, tee fences and caddy bibs.

Emirates also sponsors The Ryder Cup, UBS Hong Kong Open, Dubai World Championship, BMW International Open 2012, WGC-HSBC Champions, Emirates Australian Open Championship, Australian PGA Championship, Austrian Golf Open, Avantha Masters, Ballantine’s Championship, Barclays Singapore Open, Maybank Malaysian Open, Thailand Open and Alstom Open de France.
