What is Inspire Me?
Not sure where or when you want to travel? Inspire Me is our interactive map, designed to help you decide where to take your next trip and compare fares. Search for your perfect getaway, from beach and shopping destinations, city trips and more. Learn more and start searching now.
Can I book a trip with multiple destinations?

Yes. Select the “Multiple destinations” radio button on the Make a Booking page if your trip will take you through two or more cities before you return to your city of departure.  You can add more destinations by clicking on “Add a destination” at the bottom of the “Where and when” section.

You can also use this function to book a stopover: simply enter each leg of the journey separately. For example, to book a stopover in Dubai on your way from London to Sydney, enter “London” and “Dubai” in the first set of search fields, then “Dubai” and “Sydney” in the second set. Then click “Add a destination”, and enter “Sydney” and “London” in the final set of search fields.

You can also use this function to book a journey that begins in one city and ends in another after passing through one or more other cities in between.

Can I search for a one-way flight?

Yes. Select the ‘One-way’ radio button on the Make a Booking page.

I have been quoted a very high fare, why?
Emirates allocates seats for restricted and unrestricted fares in the same class, so you may find some seats available but at a higher cost. Lower fares may be available as special weekend deals or if you stay at your destination for a minimum amount of time.
How do I find the least expensive flights?

All search results can be sorted by price, but if you find that the rates you are quoted on a particular search are too high, check flights on different days—sometimes there may be special weekend fares or minimum-stay conditions that can yield a lower fare.

You may also be able to find better fares or more desirable schedules for your journey if you are open to the possibility of departing from one airport and returning to another airport in the same area. This option is only available in cities such as London that have more than one international airport.

Will extra fees and taxes be charged on top of the price I see quoted for my tickets?
We make every effort to show all fees and taxes during online booking, but additional fees and taxes may be charged on ticket issuance or at the airport if levied by the country of departure.
What is the maximum number of travellers for whom I can make an online reservation?
You can book online for up to nine (9) passengers, including all adults and children in your travelling party, except for flights between London Gatwick and both New York and Houston. Online bookings of these flights can be made for a maximum of four (4) seats in Business Class and a maximum of seven (7) seats in Economy. Please also see our Terms & Conditions.
Can I book more than one flight in each Log in session?
Yes. You can book up to 10 flights during each online session.
What is the difference between searching by: ‘Price’, ‘Price (dates flexible)’, and ‘Schedule’?

When you select ‘Search by Price’, you will see a list of flights for the dates you selected, arranged by fare. When booking return fares, you also have the option to ‘Search by Price (dates flexible)’, in which case you will see the best available fares for the dates you selected, as well as nearby dates.

When you select ‘Search by Schedule’, you may select each flight in your itinerary individually, to best suit your travel plans.

How do I use the ‘Timetables’ feature?
This feature allows you to quickly view flight timings and routes simply by entering the origin and destination of the flight, the type of journey (one-way or return), and the travel dates.
Why is a fare not quoted when I search using ‘Timetables’?
Among other factors, the price of all Emirates tickets depends on the combination of flights you book. We can only quote you a price for the entire trip once you decide which specific flights you would prefer. As some flights are more popular than others, the price of tickets on these varies.
Why do the prices vary for the same flights at different times?
One of the factors that contributes to the price of our flights is the popularity of the route and the schedule. So two flights between the same points may be priced differently because one flies on a more popular schedule.
What is a promotional code?

A promotional code is a seven-letter code which relates to a special offer. Entering this code at the beginning of the booking process allows you to view search results specifically related to the offer.

The code will be provided as part of the special offer communications. Codes can only be received from offer communications and can not be provided by Emirates independently.

How can I book a stopover?

If your route will take you through another city before your destination and you’d like to spend some time there, you may book a stopover itinerary. Simply select the “Multiple destinations” radio button on the Make a Booking page.

To include a stopover in your itinerary, enter each leg of the journey separately. For example, to book a stopover in Dubai on your way from London to Sydney, enter “London” and “Dubai” in the first set of search fields, then “Dubai” and “Sydney” in the second set. Then click “Add a destination”, and enter “Sydney” and “London” in the final set of search fields.

What are the online payment rules?

When you are required to enter your billing information and credit card details during the payment process, you will see the link to the right of the screen called ‘See online payment rules’.

These rules apply for all bookings made on emirates.com:

  1. In some countries, for security reasons, the holder of the credit card used to book a ticket or group of tickets must be one of the travellers on that itinerary, and will be required to show the credit card at the airport check-in counter prior to receiving boarding passes. In other countries, the card holder does not have to be one of the travellers. See our Online Booking Basics FAQs for information on how to find out which countries allow this.

  2. When booking travel originating from some specific countries, the credit card used to make the online payment for this booking will be verified at the time of check-in. If you are not able to produce the card used for payment of booking at the time of check-in, you will not be allowed to fly.

  3. Please note that since Emirates is based in Dubai, UAE, it is possible that for your online transaction, your credit card issuing bank will charge a fee for usage of the card in a foreign country. For further information, please contact your credit card issuing bank.

If you are are not using a credit card based in the country of departure of the ticket, your card issuer may apply charge a fee for transactions in a foreign currency, and also apply different exchange rates compared to those given by the Currency Converter on our site. Please check with your credit card issuer for any fees and their applicable exchange rates.

  5. In most cases, Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club and American Express can be used for payment. When departing from a few countries however, Diners and American Express may not be available. The "Card type" drop down menu will show the card types that you can use for that departure country. Other cards, such as Maestro, Discover, JCB and more, are not accepted at this time.

  6. For payments by Visa card, depending on your card issuer, you may have to complete an extra level of security checks through the Verified by Visa scheme - a popup window will appear after you confirm purchase of your itinerary containing your banks logo, in which you must provide your Verified by Visa password. This is not the PIN used for ATM/Cash machines. If you are requested to enter this password, however you have not registered for the scheme, please contact your bank to register. If you are requested to enter this password and you choose to continue without entering it, or enter the incorrect password, your booking would not be successful.

  7. For payments by MasterCard, depending on your card issuer, you may have to complete an extra level of security checks through the MasterCard SecureCode scheme - a popup window will appear after you confirm purchase of your itinerary containing your banks logo, in which you must provide your MasterCard SecureCode password. This is not the PIN used for ATM/Cash machines. If you are requested to enter this password, however you have not registered for the scheme, please contact your bank to register. Can I book different classes for different parts of my trip?

Yes, you can select your class for each sector of your trip – so you can fly Business Class on your departing flight, and Economy on your return, for example.

When searching by schedule, you can also select different travel classes in the flight search results.

How should I enter the passenger names and can I change them afterwards?

You must ensure that the first name and surname of the passenger for whom you are making a reservation exactly match the passenger’s passport that will be used to travel. If the passenger’s name is about to change (due to marriage or other reason) please verify and enter the name as per the passport that will be used to travel. For a passenger with two family names, enter both names and omit the space or hyphen between them.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the personal data given to Emirates when booking online. If you are unsure how to enter the passenger name when booking online, please contact your local Emirates office before completing your booking. Tickets cannot be transferred to other passengers, and any error in name or spelling of the name will mean that the ticket will have to be cancelled (with the applicable cancellation charges) and a new one purchased in the correct name, subject to current fares and availability of flights.

What are the differences between 'Skywards Flex' and 'Skywards Saver' fares?
'Skywards Flex' and 'Skywards Saver ' fare types relate to the earning and redemption of Skywards Miles. A 'Skywards Flex' fare allows you to earn more Miles and tier miles than a 'Skywards Saver' fare. If you want to upgrade to a higher class, Skywards Flex tickets can be upgraded for fewer Miles.

Skywards members have the option to search for Skywards Flex fares on emirates.com. To search for Skywards Flex fares, log in with your Skywards membership number and password, and select 'Find Skywards Flex fares'.

When searching for flights on emirates.com, all the fares displayed will show whether they are 'Skywards Saver' or 'Skywards Flex' fares, along with any applicable Miles Accelerator bonuses, whether you are logged in or not.
If I purchase a 'Skywards Flex' fare, does that mean it will be free to change at any time?
Not necessarily. A Skywards Flex fare is related to the Skywards earning structure. Emirates fares have different rules and conditions depending on many factors - please check the fare rules and conditions when you purchase your ticket.
Why can't I upgrade with Miles in advance for certain flights?
Some Emirates tickets have restrictions about when they can be upgraded with Miles – these tickets can only be upgraded with Miles when checking in, including online check-in.

When booking on emirates.com, any itineraries with this restriction will show the message “Check-in reward upgrade only”. When checking in for your flight, you can use your Miles to upgrade (subject to availability) as normal.

Note that this only applies to upgrades with Miles; paid upgrades are unaffected.
