New stand design reflects the airline’s global brand platform "Hello Tomorrow”
DUBAI, U.A.E., 4th March 2013: Emirates, one of the world’s fastest growing airlines, reaffirmed its commitment to the world’s leading travel trade fair ITB Berlin, which runs 6th-10th March 2013, by returning with its show-stopping giant, the rotating globe stand.
For the first time, the Emirates globe stand at ITB will showcase the new “Hello Tomorrow” brand platform. This year will bring about the introduction of animated interactive and digital features for visitors to experience. A striking visual display of 30 60” large screens embedded in the circumference of the globe panels will showcase the bespoke “Hello Tomorrow” film. The three minute film will be played continuously throughout the exhibition at stand 100, located in Hall 22a.
For the first time, the Emirates globe stand at ITB will showcase the new “Hello Tomorrow” brand platform, with interactive and digital features for visitors to experience.
"Visitors will notice a dramatic transformation of our globe stand this year, as we move towards becoming a lifestyle brand that is synonymous with connecting people and cultures alike, enabling new experiences and delivering moments of inspiration. The “Hello Tomorrow” brand platform underlines the confidence we have in our product, service and people, and the vision we have for the future growth of the airline. The world literally meets at ITB Berlin so this event is a perfect platform to demonstrate these corporate values,” said Thierry Antinori, Emirates’ Executive Vice President, Passenger Sales Worldwide.
In addition to the impressive showcase, regular visitors to ITB will also notice a range of new interactive features that have been introduced to the Emirates globe this year. Six 40” digital multi-touch screen displays will replace traditional brochure stands on the outer edges of the platform, inviting visitors to vote for their favourite Emirates destinations on an interactive world map. In addition, Cabin Crew will also be featured on the screens, talking about their recommendations for each destination. The displays will have a direct link to Emirates dedicated social media pages, such as Facebook, its official YouTube channel and Google+.
A customized Crew Tower with an interactive 110” multi-touch wall will allow visitors to learn more about Emirates destinations, services at the airport, Economy Class, Business Class, First Class, ice, Emirates sports, cultural and arts sponsorships around the world, Wolgan Valley and Arabian Adventures. Inside of the globe stand, more collaborative user interfaces can be experienced by visitors with two plasma walls – one 32” screen featuring a corporate video, and another single touch Wolgan Valley and ‘Discover Dubai’ wall.
On the ground floor of the globe, visitors can see replicas of the iconic Emirates’ A380 Onboard Shower Spas and Onboard Lounge. Visitors can also sample the exquisite Emirates' First Class Suites - available on the A380 and the latest 777-200 and 777-300ER aircraft. The stand’s first floor provides spacious areas for business meetings, private conference rooms and catering facilities. The top floor provides a VIP area and Majlis for hosting guests.
“Besides showcasing the premium Emirates A380 experience, the ground floor of the globe stand will be more interactive at ITB, offering a meaningful and collaborative exchange for visitors because we understand the importance of customer engagement. In Berlin, Emirates is showing more of its product and services than at any other international travel trade event outside our home of Dubai,” added Mr Antinori.
Emirates, which flies to 130 destinations in 76 countries, has continued on its strong growth trajectory, adding 15 new destinations to the network in 2012. In line with the increase in destinations and frequencies, Emirates has continued its rapid fleet expansion to encompass 198 wide-body Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
In 2013, Emirates will receive on average 2 new aircraft every 5 weeks with nearly half being A380s. Emirates sets the pace for A380 deployment, with the aircraft having carried 14 million passengers on 35,000 trips spanning 200 million kilometres since A380 operations commenced five years ago. In 2012 alone, Emirates added 11 A380s to its fleet and remains the largest operator of the aircraft, with 31 in the fleet and 59 on order.
In addition to destinations, amenities and services onboard, visitors to the Emirates globe stand will also be able to find the latest information on the company’s businesses and initiatives including Emirates Holidays,
