Belgian Beer Café

Only open since Summer 2008, the Belgian Beer Café has been a hit from the off. A proper themed pub rather than just another bar, with excellent beers, proper Belgian artefacts as decoration, and great food (try a big pot of moules marinières, or their superb steak and frites). There’s also a lovely terrace overlooking the Creek and speedy service too.
The mixed clientele of after-work people, hotel guests and locals is very relaxed. The emphasis on good beer means that novices are also well catered for, as the staff at the Belgian Beer Café are knowledgeable and the menu offers a decent write-up for each beer. Ideal for beer connoisseurs.
