Hosted by Le Golf National Club just outside Paris, the Alstom Open de France is one of golf’s oldest events, with the inaugural event held in 1906, and has firmly established itself as one of the premier events on the European golfing calendar. This famous tournament also boasts a prize fund of EUR 3 million, which ensures a high-quality field.
The 2013 Alstom Open de France welcomed over 40,000 spectators, enabling Emirates to engage with existing and potential customers in the ever-important French market. Graeme McDowell claimed his third title of a disappointing year that had seen either a missed cut, including at the Irish Open, or a victory in each of the previous eight events.
Emirates also sponsors the BMW International Open, the DP World Tour Championship, Maybank Malaysian Open, Lyoness Open, the Irish Open, Ballantine’s Championship, the WGC-HSBC Champions, the Hong Kong Open, the Boeing Classic, the Thailand Open, the Emirates Australian Open, and the Australian PGA Championship.
