Are there additional baggage allowances if I’m travelling with an infant?

Checked baggage

Infant baggage allowances vary depending on whether the Weight Concept or Piece Concept applies.

Weight Concept:

Up to 10kilograms (22pounds) additional baggage, in addition to your usual baggage allowance.

Piece Concept:

  • One extra piece of baggage in addition to your usual baggage allowance, regardless of cabin class. This extra piece must be 23kilograms (50pounds) or less, with total dimensions (length plus width plus height) not exceeding 115 (45 inches).

Cabin baggage

Passengers travelling with infants in any class are also permitted one (1) handbag for inflight necessities and infant food (weight must not exceed 5 kg/11lb) and one (1) fully collapsible stroller or carry-cot as a carry-on item, as long as cabin space is available and you are not bringing a child seat. If no space is available in the cabin, the stroller/carry-cot must be transported as checked baggage in the hold.

Handbag: 55 by 38 by 20centimeters (22 by 15 by 8 inches).
