Airport newsTerminal E has now re-opened after extensive renovation. There are plans for another terminal in the future, but dates for this project have not yet been finalised.
Transfer between terminalsThe terminals at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport are connected by the world's largest airport train: Skylink. This transports visitors between the terminals in around five minutes.Transportation between terminals from the public area is also available via Terminal Link, a free shuttle bus service. Pick-up and drop-off points are located on the upper level of each terminal, outside the baggage reclaim areas.
Driving directionsThere are airport connections from the south on highways 183 or 360, or from the north on highways 114, 121 or 635. All exits are on the left.From central Dallas, head north on Interstate 35E, continue (northwest) on Route 183, turn off onto Ramp DFW Airport, and then continue (north) on International Parkway North toll road.From central Fort Worth, head north on Interstate 35 West, at exit 52A turn merge onto Route 121 (Airport Freeway); continue on Interstate 820, Route 121 and then Route 183 East. Once here, turn onto DFW Airport/Amon Carter Boulevard and head (north) along the International Parkway North toll road.
Car rentalThe car hire centre is a 10-minute shuttle ride from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport; shuttles depart from the lower level of each terminal and courtesy telephones are located in the baggage reclaim area. Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, EZ Rent, Hertz, National, Silvercar and Thrifty are all represented.
Public transport and taxisBus: DART bus connections are available to the Belt Line Station and to remote car parks.
Shuttle: Go Yellow Checker shuttle buses (tel: (214) 841 1900 or (817) 267 5150; www.yellowcheckershuttle.com) serve various destinations, including major hotels in Dallas and Fort Worth, from the upper level of each terminal. Fares start at US$15. A number of other shuttle services are also available.
Taxi: Taxis are readily available outside Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, on the upper level of Terminals A, B, C and E, and on the lower level of Terminal D. A flat rate fare of US$40 is in place to destinations in Dallas’ Central Business District, and the ride to downtown Fort Worth costs $43.
Rail: Trinity Railway Express (tel: (817) 215 8600; www.trinityrailwayexpress.org) offers direct connections to a number of stations in both Dallas and Fort Worth, Monday to Saturday. The journey time to downtown Dallas is around 20 minutes and the one-way fare is US$2.50. Shuttles connect the station and the terminals and are free for passengers holding a valid air ticket.DART (tel: (214) 979 1111; www.dart.org) rail services operate from the nearby Belt Line Station (on the Orange Line), which can be accessed via shuttles from the terminals. The fare costs $2.50 and is valid for two hours, while a day-pass is priced at $5.
Car parkingShort-stay car parks are located next to each terminal. Express car parks are situated slightly further away and are served by shuttle connections to the terminal. Long-term, economy parking is available at remote sites, also serviced by the free airport shuttle buses. For further information on car parking, telephone the information line (tel: (972) 574 7275). Valet parking (tel: (972) 574 2407) is also available.
Information and help desksMultilingual information boards can be found throughout Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. In addition, interactive visitor information centres are located near the baggage reclaim areas, providing information and direct dialling to some transportation options from the airport. Other sources of information include the Travelers Aid offices that are located in terminals B and D.DFW Airport Ambassadors, who are stationed throughout all terminals, provide assistance, including directing passengers to connecting flights, bag claim and other airport facilities.
Airport FacilitiesMoney: Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport has multiple ATMs and bureaux de change within the terminal buildings.
Communications: Postal facilities are available in all terminals. Fax and paid-for internet kiosks can be found in all terminals. Wi-Fi access is available throughout the airport.
Food: There are more than 100 food and drink outlets at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, ranging from snack bars and fast food counters to à la carte dining establishments, including a high-end restaurant in the Grand Hyatt hotel (tel: (972) 973 1234; www.granddfw.hyatt.com).
Shopping: In all, there are more than 100 shops offering everything from cosmetics and drinks to Texan souvenirs. Duty-free shopping is available to international passengers in Terminals A and B.
Luggage: Luggage trolleys are available throughout all terminals. Luggage lockers are not available.
Other facilities: Other facilities at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport include barber shops, massage and manicure salons, a spa and shoeshine services. Chapels can be found in all terminals.
Conference and business facilitiesSamsung mobile travel centres and 24-hour business centres are located in Terminals A, B, C and E, as well as at Skylink stations. These feature work counters, semi-private workstations, internet access, and phone outlets at each seat. A Laptop Lane business centre provides private workstations with computers, IDD telephones, fax, printing and internet.Additionally, the business centre located in the on-site Hyatt Regency DFW Hotel (tel: (972) 973 1410; www.dfwairport.hyatt.com), offers a range of business services plus 70 meeting rooms, an exhibition hall and two ballrooms.
Disabled facilitiesWithin the terminals, there are TDD telephones, amplified receivers and lowered telephones.Wheelchairs are available from individual airlines in each terminal: passengers should request any special assistance from their airline prior to travel.There is disabled parking available in all car parks and the inter-terminal Terminal Link vans are wheelchair accessible.
Airport hotelsThere is a large selection of hotels within a short distance of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, including two on-site options. Assistance with hotel bookings is available at the airport information desks. Many local hotels offer courtesy transport to and from the terminals.

Grand Hyatt DFW
The more opulent of the two on-site hotels, the 300-room Grand Hyatt is integrated within Terminal D and is thus readily accessible via Skylink or Terminal link connections. Along with its range of dining facilities, the hotel also has 45 meeting rooms, 20 conference suites, a rooftop swimming pool, gym and even a cooking school.

Hyatt Regency DFW Hotel
Operating 24-hour check-in and courtesy shuttles, this on-site hotel has more than 800 rooms, together with a huge range of meeting and conference spaces. Additionally, there is a choice of cafés, bars and restaurants, a 24-hour gym, a heated outdoor pool, and free transport to a nearby golf club.

Courtyard Dallas DFW Airport South
This 146-room hotel provides courtesy transport both to and from the airport, and to anywhere within an 8km (5 mile) radius. Facilities include meeting rooms, an American bistro-style restaurant, outdoor swimming pool and gymnasium.

Holiday Inn Express Dallas Fort-Worth Airport South
For those travelling on a more restricted budget, this is a good option close to the airport. This Holiday Inn operates free shuttle services from 0530 to 2300 and has a business centre with free Wi-Fi access. Breakfast is included in the room rate.

Super 8 DFW Airport North
A two-star hotel, the Super 8 nevertheless also offers a business centre and gymnasium. Breakfast is included in the room rate, however a separate charge is levied for shuttle service to and from the airport.
