What is an electronic ticket?

All tickets for travel solely on Emirates flights are issued as electronic tickets.*

Receiving your ticket by email eliminates the need for a physical ticket. Instead, your booking details are stored securely in our network. When it’s time to travel, simply present your receipt and passport when checking in at the airport.

Because your booking information is stored with us, there’s no ticket to misplace or lose, and your travel details can easily be changed at any time online.

If you want to print your ticket for your own information, you can view your ticket booking reference via the email we sent you or by accessing Manage a booking.

In most countries, when you’ve booked online there’s no need to visit a local office to receive your ticket or wait to have it delivered. If booking directly at an Emirates office, you’ll be issued a receipt on the spot.

If you’re travelling with an infant and your booking includes travel on another airline, the infant ticket will be issued as a paper ticket.

When booking, every person travelling will get their own individual ticket, including children and infants.

If you need to request a refund, please fill in the ticket refund form.

Please note that for many bookings, refunds may incur a fee, or may not be allowed, depending on any specific terms and conditions attached to the booking.
