Discover Nice

With five non-stop flights from Dubai every week, getting to Nice is now more convenient. Whether you want to explore Nice itself, or make it your gateway to the rest of the South of France, you’ll find something to suit your tastes. Here are just some of the sights to look out for in the region:

  • The Cours Saleya Flower Market is one of Nice’s most popular attractions. The edges are lined with cafés and souvenir shops, and the stands themselves are packed with amazing produce and a myriad of flowers.
  • The Pont du Gard is a spectacular Roman aqueduct that spans the Gardon river valley near the village of Remoulins, five kilometres northeast of Nîmes. Archaeologists believe that it was completed around 20 BC by Marcus Agrippa, the son-in-law of the Emperor Augustus.
  • Grasse, in southern Provence, is found 16 kilometres north of Cannes. It is famous world over for its perfume production. Grasse is a beautiful town with medieval buildings, narrow streets, cafés and restaurants.
  • Arles is a favourite destination in Provence, made famous in recent times by the artists Van Gogh and Gauguin, but it has been popular since Roman times, as can be seen by the wonderful Arena in the centre of Arles, still used for bullfights.
  • Cannes is a sleek, sunny and celebrity-studded city with a curving crescent of beaches, designer shops and art deco architecture.
